Vinous David Schildknecht - 01 May 17
This 250-liter auction lot, a product of desiccated but largely healthy berries, features concentrated fresh white peach and quince wreathed in mint and bittersweet floral perfume. An overtone of white-bread yeastiness points to fine, dry and ennobling botrytis while conveying an aura of freshness. Polished, subtly oily and seemingly weightless, the palate seductively soothes and stimulates as it delivers billowing inner-mouth perfume, cooling herbal impingement, and refreshing but cheek-tugging citricity, leading to a finish of extraordinary length and vibrantly palpable presence.
